About Me

To whom it may concern,

My name is Peter Gartner and I am currently a freshman at the University of Minnesota majoring in Business Marketing. I have been taking pictures for years. Ever since I was little, I have always wanted to hold and look through a camera. I shoot with a Nikon D5500, iPhone X, GoPro Hero 5, and a DJI Spark. Along with photography, I love a game of pickup soccer or a day snowboarding in the mountains.

As an avid seeker of discomfort, I always like to push myself to do things that are hard and to try new things.  Recently I went on a mission trip in the summer of 2019 to the Dominican Republic and worked with some of the kindest and most caring people I have ever met. 

I have been slowly sharing my photos with the world and have won awards locally and even at the Minnesota State Fair in 2019.  You can follow me on Instagram @petergartnerphoto.  Currently, I am working on an underwater cinematic video where I will be going to Grand Caymen this summer to dive and document the beautiful coral reefs surrounding the island. This was postponed because of conditions pertaining to Covid-19 however I will be continuing it in the summer of 2021.
